Overview
Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with the Local Monitoring Committee of Liskeard Hillfort Primary School, is seeking a passionate and dedicated HLTA to join our supportive team. In this role, you'll have the exciting opportunity to foster a love of learning in our pupils, creating an engaging and dynamic classroom environment. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are enthusiastic about promoting healthy lifestyles and integrating outdoor learning into their practice, making use of our fantastic school grounds and local area to provide enriching experiences for our children. You'll play a vital part in nurturing well-rounded individuals, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Hillfort Primary School is located in the bustling town of Liskeard, 8 miles from Looe and 18 miles from Plymouth. The school caters for children between the ages of 4–11. Our school enjoys working collaboratively both locally and with our partner schools within the Trust.
Responsibilities
* We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced HLTA who can work across the school, teaching across all year groups and covering teachers' PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment), and leadership time.
* Create an exciting and engaging curriculum to inspire children, foster independence and develop resilience.
* Promote active and healthy lifestyles and utilise the outdoor area to provide a broad range of learning opportunities.
* Support children's academic, social and emotional development to help them flourish.
Qualifications and qualities
* Experience as an HLTA or in a similar teaching-support role across primary year groups.
* Enthusiasm for promoting healthy lifestyles and outdoor learning.
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and families to support well-being and achievement.
