Electronic Assembly Technician Location: Staverton, Gloucester Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an Electronic Assembly Technician to join our Operations team where you'll support us in building high-quality electronic products that meet exacting industry and customer standards. This role will be based at our Staverton site. The Role: As an Electronic Assembly Technician, you’ll play a key role in the production of electronic components and assemblies, ensuring products are built to a consistently high standard. Working as part of the OE assembly production team, you’ll assemble and inspect a range of electronic products, using the correct tools, documentation and processes to meet both internal and customer requirements. You’ll follow detailed engineering instructions, including schematics and specifications, while ensuring all work is completed in line with production schedules and recorded accurately within business systems. A strong focus on quality is essential, as you’ll be responsible for ensuring finished products meet required standards before progressing to inspection and release. You’ll also contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and support continuous improvement activities, helping to enhance processes and efficiency within the production environment. To be successful in this role, you’ll have experience working within an electronic assembly or manufacturing environment, ideally within an engineering or regulated industry. You’ll be confident working with components such as PCBs, wiring and soldering, and able to follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings and specifications with a high degree of accuracy. You’ll bring excellent attention to detail, strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, along with the ability to work to deadlines and meet performance targets. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and a willingness to contribute to lean manufacturing practices will be important, alongside good communication skills and basic IT proficiency. Experience of working to aerospace standards such as Part 21G or Part 145 would be beneficial, but not essential.
