Job Overview
We have a vacancy for a 4‑hour per week, contracted personal assistant (PA) to support me as part of my PA team. This role will primarily focus on enabling me to access the gym environment, including the pool, to help me maintain my health and be part of my community.
Working Hours
Shifts will be Monday to Thursday evenings, or Friday to Sunday, due to my own employment. There will also be opportunities to cover staff holidays and sickness throughout the rest of the week. Additional work would be in Penicuik.
Remuneration
Hourly rate of £13.07 per hour, subject to increase in the new financial year.
Post Holder Characteristics
* Compassionate, friendly, calm and patient with a good sense of humour
* Comfortable and willing to participate in a gym and pool environment
Requirements
* Driver licence – desirable but not essential
* First aid and moving and handling qualifications – desirable but mandatory
* PVG membership suitable for working with Vulnerable Adults or willingness to join the scheme (legal requirement as a regulated role)
