What we are looking for
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated personal care assistant to provide one‑to‑one support to individuals within the community. The ideal candidate is passionate, committed to making a positive difference, and able to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating empathy, patience and professionalism at all times.
Your role and responsibilities
* Supporting with personal care and continence needs such as bathing, dressing and toileting
* Assisting with mobility needs and transfers to ensure a safe environment & prevent falls
* Assisting with medication requirements including prompting & administering medicines
* Supporting nutritional needs such as meal planning, preparation, cooking and hydration
* Providing support with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry and ironing
* Providing companionship, social interaction and emotional support for well‑being
* Accompanying to appointments, social activities, shopping needs, errands and collecting prescriptions
* Monitoring, documenting and reporting changes in health, medication intake (EMAR) and daily care logs
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* Previous experience in the health & social care sector is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
* Any qualifications in adult health & social care are desirable; we are committed to supporting your development to attain relevant qualifications
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively via digital platforms
* Fluent spoken and written English is essential for effective communication
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating empathy, patience and professionalism at all times
* A full UK driving licence and access to your own car
