iMultiply is recruiting for a well‑established organisation in Glasgow to fill an Interim Payroll Assistant position for a 6‑month contract to support a payroll system transformation.
The Role
As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of payroll operations while they transition to a new system. You’ll work closely with HR, finance, and IT teams to maintain accurate records, process payroll data, and support the implementation of the new system.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for council employees
* Maintain accurate employee records, including starters, leavers, and changes
* Support data migration and testing activities related to the new payroll system
* Respond to payroll queries from staff in a timely and professional manner
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
* Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates during the transformation
About You
* Experienced in payroll administration
* Confident using payroll software and Excel
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment
