Head of Sales
Location: UK (Office-based)
Salary: £60,000–£70,000 + car allowance + bonus
Contract: Permanent | Start: April 2026
Our client, a leading precision engineering and manufacturing business supplying the aerospace, defence, and energy sectors, is seeking a Head of Sales to lead their commercial function during a period of significant growth and operational transformation.
The Opportunity
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the sales team, overseeing business development, production administration, and marketing, and ensuring a smooth end‑to‑end sales process from RFQ to shop floor delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the sales, business development, marketing, and administration teams.
Oversee quoting, contract review, RFQs, sales order release and works order creation.
Drive growth in aerospace and defence and expand existing customer accounts across the UK, Europe, and North America.
Shape and deliver the company's marketing strategy.
Support and optimise ERP process improvements.
Build and maintain strong OEM and Tier 1 customer relationships.
About you
Experienced sales leader with hands‑on ability to win work.
Background in subcontract manufacturing and precision engineering.
Strong track record in aerospace and defence (oil & gas/energy beneficial).
Understanding of full order‑to‑delivery processes.
Marketing strategy experience.
Experience with ERP systems.
