This is an externally funded post and a fixed-term role until February 2027.
West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking to recruit an experienced, creative, and enthusiastic Heritage Project Worker. The successful candidate will work closely with Arts & Heritage colleagues to focus on raising the profile of West Dunbartonshire's rich arts and heritage offer.
The postholder will be based in Clydebank Museum, opening later this year, and will be responsible for delivering an innovative programme that actively engages residents and visitors in events and activities exploring the stories of Clydebank and West Dunbartonshire.
This is an exciting and varied role. The successful candidate will be involved in encouraging visitors to the new museum, building relationships with local groups and organizations, running events and activities, and supporting volunteers.
Success in this role requires experience in engaging communities in heritage, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain stakeholder and partner relationships, underpinned by a genuine interest in the history and heritage of the local area.
The successful candidate will join the team at a pivotal time, working towards a new Arts and Heritage strategy aligned with West Dunbartonshire Council’s ambitions to serve its residents.
