Location – Forensic Acute, Blair Unit, Royal Cornhill Hospital
Post – Deputy Charge Nurse, Band 6, Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Forensic Acute Ward of Royal Cornhill Hospital for an enthusiastic registered mental health nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their management and clinical skills in a Deputy Charge Nurse position.
The post holder will contribute to providing high-quality, evidence-based care and support to clients experiencing a diverse range of mental health issues within the Forensic Services. The post involves delivering care through a patient-focused approach within a therapeutic environment, underpinned by risk assessment and management to maximize the individual's potential.
As a key team member, you should possess good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), have a solid understanding of risk assessment and management, current legislation, and be capable of leading and motivating others. Forensic Acute is a dynamic environment, and the ideal candidate should be motivated to encourage and support sustained, patient-focused environmental and cultural change.
The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
