Our client, operating in the rail and civils sector, is currently seeking a PTS Setting Out Engineer for a long-term contract based in the South West region, predominantly in the Bristol and Swindon area. This exciting opportunity involves site engineering for civils-based works, specifically focusing on embankments, bridges, and other infrastructure projects within the rail industry.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nSetting out for embankments, bridges, and other civil engineering tasks\nConducting topographical surveys and performing work on embankments, drainage, and de-vegetation\nUtilising site engineering skills to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications\nWorking primarily on day shifts with some weekends and potential night shifts\nMaintaining site records and ensuring quality standards are met\nCollaborating with the project team to ensure successful project delivery\nAdhering to health and safety regulations\nRegularly communicating with stakeholders to report progress and issues\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in site engineering, specifically within the civils sector\nPTS certification, with additional qualifications in Cat & Genny and IRATA Rope Access Level 1 (IRATA training can be arranged once the start is confirmed)\nProficiency in setting out for embankments, drainage and bridges\nStrong understanding of topographical surveys, drainage, embankments, and de-vegetation\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills\nAbility to work flexibly, with the availability for day shifts, weekends, and night shifts as required\nStrong communication and teamwork abilities\n\nBenefits:\n\nLong-term contract with a leading company in the rail and civils sector\nOpportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects\nProfessional development and training opportunities\nSupportive and collaborative work environment\nIf you are an experienced PTS Setting Out Engineer ready for an exciting new challenge, we encourage you to apply now.
