Job Description:
Are you a creative problem solver? Do you excel in a fast-paced environment? RAC has an exciting opportunity for a Resourcing & Scheduling Specialist to join our Service, Maintenance and Repair (SMR) department based at our iconic Bescot office in Walsall.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 08:00-18:00 and 1 in 4 Saturdays (with a rest day in the week). As a Resourcing & Scheduling Specialist with SMR, you will own all the allocated resources across contact centre colleagues and Mobile Mechanics. Working in a busy environment, you will develop and maintain relationships with frontline colleagues and management to deliver outstanding service. You will ensure resources are appropriately allocated and aligned with forecasts, and that Mobile Mechanics’ diaries are optimized to meet Jobs per Shift targets.
Reporting to the SMR Trading Manager, you will build and issue annual rosters, resolve resource issues in real-time, and ensure staffing levels meet demand while maintaining work/life balance and compliance with constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
Rostering:
* Schedule FTEs to meet forecasts and KPIs
* Highlight issues affecting KPIs
* Build fair and demand-driven rosters
* Manage leave, training, and downtime
* Re-rostering as needed
* Manage new starters and leavers
Tactical Planning:
* Schedule staff to maximize Jobs per Shift
* Coordinate overtime and review hours deployment
* Communicate resourcing plans across teams
* Ensure fairness and consistency
* QA checks on scheduled work
