Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Engineer to support the delivery of a major water infrastructure and reservoir project. This client-side role focuses on engineering coordination, design assurance, and stakeholder alignment. The successful candidate will manage design reviews, respond to technical queries, and ensure alignment between contractors, design teams, and internal stakeholders. This is a high-impact position, contributing to the delivery of a landmark project that ensures sustainable water supply for the future.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and review design submissions from contractors and external designers.
* Respond to technical queries and provide clear guidance to stakeholders.
* Chair technical meetings and workshops to align project teams and resolve issues.
* Coordinate engineering inputs across contractors, design teams, and client departments.
* Support programme updates, reporting, and compliance with engineering standards.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering assurance processes.
* Provide timely updates to the Engineering Manager on progress, risks, and issues.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline).
* Proven experience in design management or engineering coordination, ideally on large infrastructure projects.
* Experience in the water, utilities, or civil infrastructure sectors is preferred.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to chair meetings, lead workshops, and manage multiple priorities.
* Competence in tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
* Strong focus on results, quality, and compliance with standards and regulations.
Desirable
* Experience with reservoir or water infrastructure projects.
* Familiarity with engineering assurance, compliance, or safety processes.
* Ability to manage multiple work packages and interface with contractors effectively.
