The Role

Business Development Manager – Pubs – Leased & Tenanted Divisions (South West). JWR is representing an established, entrepreneurial and well-capitalised pub operator offering career-focused Business Development Manager opportunities across their estate.

This is a progressive and growing business that places people and partnerships at the heart of everything they do. By supporting their publicans, investing in their estate, and building strong tenant relationships, they ensure mutual prosperity and long-term success.

Responsibilities

* Providing operators with the tools, guidance, and support to maximise turnover and profitability.
* Building strong, consultative partnerships that deliver year-on-year regional profit growth.
* Training, developing, and auditing operators to raise standards across your estate.
* Managing budgets, product offers, and marketing investments.
* Leading refurbishment projects and identifying new sales opportunities.
* Recruiting and onboarding new operators/partners.
* Working closely with the executive team to ensure pubs operate at full potential.


Requirements

* Strong experience in licensed retail, hospitality, or a related sector, ideally from a L&T background.
* Proven commercial awareness and the ability to balance creativity with financial performance.
* A proactive, self-starting approach with energy, initiative, and drive.
* Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and inspire partners.
* The desire to make a tangible impact across a region, shaping both your role and your pubs.
