Duties & Responsibilities
The Assistant Spa Manager must have spa treatment certifications and experience with spa training.
Guest Experience:
* Give your personal
attention to all guests, taking personal responsibility for their comfort
and enjoyment during their visit to the spa.
* Be the main
contact for all guests, prior, during and after their experience. Greets
guests upon arrival, in a friendly and attentive manner, showing guests
how to safely use the spa facilities and to give full tour of spa
facilities.
* Works as part of a
great team providing exceptional guest service.
* Exhibits a
confident, friendly, and positive attitude when dealing with all guests.
* Ensures that all
aspects of the ‘guest treatment journey’ is followed by all therapists,
receptionists and spa attendants with every guest according to the standards
of excellence as agreed with spa manager.
* Focuses on
understanding the individual needs of each guest through an in-depth
consultation to ensure guest expectations are understood and, where
possible, exceeded. Follow through on these needs by explaining benefits
of treatment and what to expect before commencing treatment.
* Provides guest with
effective after care advice and product recommendations following
treatment.
* Takes ownership and
responsibility to notice when the guest is having a disappointing experience
and uses their best judgment to help turn it into a Moment of Magic by
dealing with this head on.
* Promotes Cowley
Manor leisure services and spa treatments, retail products whilst
delivering excellent guest care.
* Effectively deals with guest complaints and updates spa manager and
higher management.
* Ensure the services delivered are always in line with the
Experimental’ s standards.
* Is responsible for the overall guest experience in the spa in the
absence of the Spa Manager.
Standards and procedure:
Assist the spa manager in
the following:
* Compiling all areas
standards and presentation of public areas.
* Ensuring guest
satisfaction by maintaining a clean, safe facility.
* Cleaning and
maintaining spa and treatment room presentation throughout shift as per
standards as agreed with management.
* Supporting the
therapists with room standards, making sure the treatment rooms are kept
to high standard as set by the spa manager.
* Team constantly
meeting grooming standards.
* Reporting and
logging any necessary maintenance issues to maintenance team.
* Inspecting changing
rooms, cleaning as needed and ensure set up as per standards as agreed by
management.
* Assisting in
ordering, stock taking and ensuring linen is always available in the spa.
* Ensuring retail sale
targets are met.
* Maintaining and
developing the event side of the venue.
* Conducting monthly
first aid supplies check.
* Being aware of
revenue intake, performance against budget and targets.
The Team:
* Ensures all training
records are kept up to date for all staff.
* Oversees the team in
the Spa Manager’s absence.
* Acting as the Spa
Manager during her absence.

by the Experimental Group in 2022, Cowley Manor is entering the next chapter of
its life. The property is home to 36 bedrooms complemented by a spa,
restaurant, cocktail lounge, library, mudroom & plentiful living rooms. The
property features a postcard landscape of rolling hills and sheep dotted in the
distance spread across 55 acres of idyllic countryside.
The
refurbished design by Dorothée Meilichzon has taken inspiration from each
chapter of Cowley Manor’s book, weaving together classical inspiration with
contemporary elements across each of the estate’s bedrooms. A sort of joyeux
bordel, a happy mess.
The new restaurant and cocktail bar at
Cowley Manor is a place to celebrate a milestone, or simply enjoy a wonderful
mean. Local produce will be at the forefront, highlighting some of
Gloucestershire’s finest offerings. The spa features treatments such by Monu,
C-Side signature massages & beauty. It also has a gym, sauna, steam room,
indoor & outdoor pool.
We provide C-Side spa members and guests with highest
possible standards of leisure facilities, spa treatments and guest service.
You
will create a relaxing, calm and welcoming first impression for all Cowley
Manor guests and members that will ensure they relax and improve their wellbeing
in beautiful surroundings.
