Junior Legal Counsel, Contracts & Compliance
at ScorePlay, you will help us build a scalable legal and compliance function to support our rapid growth.
This role is designed for a
junior professional with 1-2 years of experience
in contracts, compliance, or data protection who is eager to learn, take ownership of operational tasks, and grow with the company.
You will be responsible for reviewing and administering
customer contracts
, supporting
compliance workflows
, and ensuring smooth, timely responses to client requests. Reporting to our Senior Legal Counsel, you'll work collaboratively with Sales, RevOps, and DevOps team to ensure efficient, compliant deal cycles that support ScorePlay's continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Review & Administration
* Review and redline small and mid-size commercial contracts (e.g., NDAs, MSAs, Service Agreements).
* Maintain organized records of executed agreements.
* Support process improvements and contribute to developing scalable templates.
2. Compliance Support
* Manage first-line responses to customer security and compliance questionnaires, RFPs, and due diligence requests.
* Assist in preparing and maintaining evidence for SOC 2 and GDPR compliance.
* Ensure compliance documentation is up to date and easily accessible.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with the Legal & Compliance Lead to provide operational support and continuity.
* Partner with Sales & RevOps to enable smooth deal cycles.
* Liaise with client legal and operational teams on day-to-day contracting and compliance requests.
Qualifications & Skills
* 1-2 years of experience in contracts, compliance, or data protection
* Familiarity with B2B contracts (NDAs, MSAs, SLAs)
* Strong written and spoken English; additional European languages (e.g., French) are a plus
* Detail-oriented, rigorous, and organized
* Curious with a strong learning mindset
* Experience with SaaS contracts or compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2) is an advantage
This position is remote, and we welcome candidates located across Europe, with a small preference for those based in the UK.
