Job Description:
We are looking for a Trial Manager to join the Oxford Respiratory Trials Unit for maternity leave cover. This position is also offered as a 1-year secondment opportunity. The Trial Manager will be responsible for planning, setting up, and managing various studies at ORTU, as well as supporting the Senior Trial Manager. The role requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, using initiative to solve problems and provide administrative support. There will be opportunities for hybrid working, with some days at home depending on department guidelines. The core office day is Thursday.
About You
Applicants should have a degree in a relevant subject or significant experience in setting up and monitoring large, complex, multi-site clinical trials. You should demonstrate:
* Good communication skills (oral and written), confident and articulate, capable of working across professional and organizational boundaries.
* Proficiency in IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures, Trial Specific Procedures, and working within a Quality Management System.
* Ability to plan and prioritize work independently, managing multiple projects effectively.
* Thorough knowledge of UK clinical trial regulatory and governance requirements, including submissions.
Experience in respiratory trials, CTIMP, and Device Trials is desirable.
About the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine
The Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine (NDM) is part of the University of Oxford's Medical Sciences Division, responsible for teaching clinical students within the Medical School.
