Working Hours: 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our technical team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the production of concrete products. You will help ensure that all materials and processes meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability. Why this role matters:

About the role
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct and manage the testing and inspection of raw materials and finished concrete products to ensure conformance with technical specifications.
* Lead day-to-day laboratory operations including sampling, testing, and quality reporting of aggregates and concrete.
* Optimise concrete mix designs to enhance product quality, reduce material waste, and support sustainability goals.
* Support factory teams with clear guidance on quality procedures and maintain accurate documentation and traceability.
* Analyse test data and prepare detailed reports based on findings from inspections, audits, and investigations.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards including BES6001, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, NSAI/BBA, FEMAS, and relevant British Standards.
* Lead the preparation for external audits and maintain a continuous state of certification readiness.
* Research and introduce sustainable materials and support process innovation.
* Monitor environmental performance and ensure full compliance with all environmental regulations.
* Promote a strong safety culture and support implementation of systems such as Dunlann.
* Respond to customer care issues and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Criteria
* Relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Relevant experience in successful companywide improvement
* Professional with the ability to communicate at all levels
* Technically inquisitive with imaginative problem solving skills
* Ability to work across organisation boundaries inside and outside the company and have strong influencing skills
* Effectively manage systems and processes
* Able to travel to and from work areas as required
Desired Criteria
* Previous experience in concrete products manufacturing environment
* Qualifications in Concrete Technology
* Experience in auditing industry standards
