Band 7 – Part time – Secondment/ Fixed-term for 12 months

An opportunity has arisen within the Hospital at Night Team in the Division of Medicine and Unscheduled Care at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The role is for a suitably motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established team on a fixed‑term or secondment basis. Training will be provided. If successful and you are an existing NHS Grampian employee, a 12‑month secondment will be offered.
Responsibilities
* Work predominantly nights with occasional days for attendance at daytime meetings and to support medical colleagues during induction.
* Manage deteriorating patients and respond to clinical emergencies.
* Conduct unscheduled patient clerking and provide leadership and management for trainees and the Senior Healthcare Support Worker team.
* Maintain and develop advanced practice skills, knowledge and competence, and support the development of team members.
Qualifications
* Hold a Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent evidence and have experience in an advanced practice role.
* Demonstrate the ability to maintain and enhance advanced practice skills and support colleagues in doing the same.
