Job Description:

The role

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can combine excellent campaign, analytical, and policy development experience with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate the RCPsych in Scotland's views on a wide range of complex policy areas. Working with the National Manager, College Officers, Leads, Devolved Council, and committees, you will develop, influence, and deliver the RCPsych in Scotland's policy. You will need to demonstrate experience of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to maximize the College's influence.

You will join a highly-regarded and influential organization with a strong track record of utilizing members’ expertise to shape Scottish mental health policy, including the 'No Wrong Door' election manifesto and the Choose Psychiatry in Scotland campaign.

Flexibility and self-reliance are essential. The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a busy policy or public affairs environment and will be passionate about achieving change and improving lives. Strong interpersonal skills, research, analysis capabilities, and experience in developing policy and advocacy strategies are required. Knowledge of the Scottish policymaking process and experience in producing influential reports and briefings are desirable.
