Role This is an exciting opportunity to join our Private Client Tax team in Lancaster as a Personal Tax Senior. This role is ideal for a motivated tax professional with experience in personal tax compliance and advisory work, who is looking to manage their own portfolio and deepen their expertise in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services to a varied client base, including non-residents, non-domiciled individuals, and high-net-worth individuals. Your day to day may consist of: Managing your own portfolio of private clients with minimal supervision Acting as the principal point of contact for personal tax clients Reviewing personal tax returns and computations for a range of clients Identifying and delivering tax planning opportunities tailored to individual clients Supporting clients with tax disclosure cases and understanding complex legislation Providing both compliance and advisory services, with a focus on quality and relationship building Staying informed of legislative changes and communicating impacts to clients Contributing to the delivery of revenue and profitability targets Ensuring compliance with internal risk management procedures Requirements CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA qualified (or equivalent) Demonstrable experience in a practice-based personal/private client tax role Strong technical knowledge with the ability to research complex tax legislation Excellent client communication skills and the ability to manage key relationships An interest in developing expertise in IHT and trust planning is desirable Confident managing both compliance workloads and advisory projects Organised, detail-focused and proactive with a team-oriented mindset Additional Information: Pension Scheme – Secure your future with a comprehensive pension plan. 33 Days Annual Leave – Achieve a healthy work-life balance with generous holiday entitlement.
