Band 7/8a Preceptorship Clinical Psychologist - Older People Services
We are seeking newly qualified and experienced Applied Psychologists to join our Psychology team within the Dementia and Frailty Division at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT). You will provide mental health services to older people with complex mental health needs in Birmingham and Solihull. Posts could be offered as a Preceptorship for those who are newly qualified or due to qualify in 2026.
Locations may include Community Mental Health Team settings and the Care Home Liaison Team, with posts available full-time or part-time and flexible working hours and focus of work.

Responsibilities
* Provide clinical psychology input within the Dementia and Frailty Division for older people with complex mental health needs, across community and inpatient settings.
* Contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach within the Community Mental Health Team and Care Home Liaison Team.
* Contribute to service development and CPD activities as part of the preceptorship or ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
* Newly qualified Clinical, Counselling or Forensic/Clinical Psychologists, or those expecting to qualify in 2026, are encouraged to apply as posts could be offered as a Preceptorship.
* Experience in adult mental health or dementia/frailty services is desirable, with a flexible approach to working across Birmingham and Solihull.
