Across our network of Alternative learning provisions, Therapy Centre and Children’s homes, our dedicated and experienced school staff work in collaboration with specialist teams of professionals to enable every young person to explore and develop their own unique talents. The role: Delivering creative and engaging lessons Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment. Maintain and use short, medium and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum. Set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each individual. To contribute to the review of EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews through reports of your subject area. Prepare lessons and resources. Mark and assess work. Formalise procedures towards pupils gaining accreditation or examination. Collaborate with the wider staff to define appropriate theme activities for the pupils in relation to the curriculum. Assess children who have long or short-term learning difficulties and work with colleagues to identify individual plans to address the need or gap. Work with the head teacher and governing body to ensure that the requirements of the Equality Act (2010) are met in terms of reasonable adjustments and access arrangements.
