Show Producer – Breakfast (Fixed-Term, Manchester)
We’re on the hunt for an amazing Show Producer to join our Breakfast team! If you know how to turn a dull story into a must-hear moment, can sniff out a viral social clip in seconds, and truly understand what our LGBTQ+ audience wants, this gig’s for you.
At Gaydio, we’re not just about what Dua Lipa’s up to (though we do love a bop). We mix the serious with the silly – amplifying voices, championing our culture, and connecting our community, all to build a vibrant future for LGBTQ+ people.
This is a 6-month fixed-term role based at our Manchester studios, for 20 hours a week spread over 5 days.
What You'll Be Doing:
Booking and arranging amazing guests (online and in person)
Producing and editing top-notch audio for broadcast
Helping plan the show’s content and vibe
Jumping on-air – personality required
Supporting the wider team – we’re a small team with big ambition
What You'll Bring:
Graphic design experience using Photoshop (preferable)
A deep understanding of LGBTQ+ issues, identities, and culture (essential)
Confidence using social media platforms to connect with audiences
Knowledge of the Zetta playout system (preferable)
A love of early mornings (coffee’s on us!)
A solid grasp of radio and how to create great content
Understanding of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code
Free tea, coffee, soft drinks and fruit in the office
The closing date is 29th June, but we’re keen to get this role going as soon as possible, so it may close early.
We’re committed to representing the full diversity of the LGBTQ+ community and especially encourage applications from lesbian, bi, trans, queer, and other underrepresented voices – including people of colour, disabled people, and those from other marginalised backgrounds.
If the above sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Drop an email to recruitment@gaydio.co.uk with your CV, cover letter, and examples of how you meet the requirements above, making reference to the essential skills.
