At GXO, we’re expanding and looking for dedicated drivers to join our energetic team at Dartford, Kent, working on our IKEA contract.
Your Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be delivering furniture for IKEA alongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items. Customer service will be at the heart of this role, creating a better everyday experience for our customers!
Key Responsibilities
* Work as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers' homes.
* Provide a first-class customer service experience.
* Ensure the vehicle and stock are properly secured.
* Complete tachographs in line with legislation and company policies.
* Perform vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and report all defects.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent role with:
* 48 hours per week
* Shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off over an 8-week rota
* Start times between 5:00-5:30 AM
What You Need to Succeed
* This is a physically demanding role, including lifting and shifting furniture.
* Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement.
* No more than 6 current penalty points.
* No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC, or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years.
* Previous experience driving category C vehicles is desirable.
* A DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate.
