Job summary
We are seeking a visionary leader with a passion for digital transformation and patient care to serve as the NWAS Regional Lead Directory of Services. This strategic role involves overseeing our directory of services and supporting over 60 NHS organisations in the North West, including Acute Trusts, Commissioners, NHS 111, and NWAS. Responsibilities include system education, specialist training, and support for NHS Pathways DoS and Capacity Management Modules (DoS).
The post-holder will deliver an agreed work programme for DoS improvement, collaborating with key stakeholders and reporting through governance channels. They will also support commissioners in implementing an integrated approach to Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) through project management.

Main duties of the job
1. Manage the maintenance of the DoS system in line with best practices and national guidance.
2. Ensure policies and procedures are evaluated and implemented effectively, providing guidance on national policies and standards.
3. Support NHS Trusts in capacity and activity management, analyzing and interpreting complex user requirements, and evaluating technical solutions.
4. Promote collaborative working across regions to address DoS-related issues.
5. Coordinate the work programme of DoS implementation user groups and manage related workstreams and teams.
6. Provide senior leadership to address capacity and performance requirements supporting national and local strategic objectives.
