As a Key Account Manager within our Survey & Robotics team at Ashtead Technology, you’ll be the trusted link between Ashtead Technology’s key clients and our internal experts. This is a client-facing role where your ability to build relationships, understand technical challenges, and create value will directly influence Ashtead Technology's repeat business and long-term partnerships. What You’ll Be Doing Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring a first-class experience from initial engagement through project delivery and beyond. Building a deep understanding of client needs and challenges, proactively proposing problem solving solutions and working with them through any issues which may arise during their projects. Keeping clients informed of the latest Ashtead Technology innovations, demonstrating how our equipment and expertise can support their operations. Monitoring market activity, competitors, and emerging trends to identify new business opportunities and support strategic growth. Providing accurate and timely reporting by maintaining daily customer contact logs, contributing to budgeting and forecasting activities, and preparing and delivering customer account strategies. Managing contract administration for allocated accounts, including quotes, delivery schedules, utilisation reporting, contract changes and terminations, ensuring accuracy, timely invoicing and effective issue resolution. What Experience You'll Bring We're looking for someone with a strong blend of technical credibility and commercial awareness with the confidence to engage customers and see opportunities through from first contact to long-term partnership. Some other things that will help you be successful in this role include: Previous experience and working knowledge of subsea survey equipment. Proven ability to proactively manage customer relationships from initial approach and opportunity development through to order closing and ongoing account management. Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiation skills, combined with outstanding commercial awareness and sound business judgement. Highly organised, decisive and articulate work approach with the ability to operate effectively in a technically challenging, customer-focused, service-orientated environment. Self-motivation and ability to manage your own workload while contributing to shared goals and business objectives within a highly collaborative yet demanding team environment. A clear understanding of key account management principles, including the importance of maintaining robust sales, marketing data and market intelligence. Confident user of IT systems, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to support reporting, analysis and customer presentations.
