Our Engineering Department is looking for a dynamic Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our team at our Medway campus.

Role Overview
The postholder will mainly teach on our BTEC Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Engineering, including units like:
1. Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team
2. Engineering Product Design and Manufacture (CAD and 3D printing)
3. Maintenance of Mechanical Systems
4. Static Mechanical Principles in Practice
5. Fabrication Manufacturing Processes
Candidates with welding, fabrication skills, electronics, or robotics will be highly valued. The college boasts excellent facilities including CAD suites, electronics labs, welding bays, and a fully equipped engineering workshop.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching, develop curriculum, and assess student progress.
* Manage course administration, including communication, timetable checks, and resource coordination.
* Assist with student recruitment, enrolment, and induction processes.
* Support students academically and pastorally, including setting SMART targets and liaising with external agencies.
* Monitor and report on student attendance and achievement.
* Promote English and Maths development among students.
* Participate in meetings, CPD, and quality assurance activities.
* Contribute to departmental administration and online resource management.
Additional Duties for SPS Points 5-8
* Internal verification and moderation.
* Coordinate and monitor action plans from SAR and quality reviews.
* Support curriculum development and staff resource planning.
* Liaise with higher education institutions as needed.
