Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking an experienced Digital Hardware Engineering Lead to join their Maritime Services unit on a contract basis. The role is based in Cowes with hybrid working arrangements of four days per week on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the digital hardware engineering team to develop hardware solutions for Maritime Services
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with technical and strategic goals
Oversee the design, development, and testing of digital hardware components and systems
Provide technical expertise and leadership in resolving complex engineering challenges
Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and quality standards
Liaise with stakeholders to deliver project updates and ensure project milestones are met
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in digital hardware engineering within the Defence and Security sector
Strong leadership and team management skills
Proficiency with relevant toolsets and software languages for hardware development
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work on-site in Cowes for four days per week
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
