A prestigious and thriving secondary school and sixth form, located in Swindon, Wiltshire, invites applications for the position of Exams and Data Officer. This pivotal role supports the school’s commitment to academic excellence and integrity in student assessment and record management.
The Exams and Data Officer will be an integral part of our administration team, responsible for the efficient management and organization of all examinations, data collection, and analysis processes within the school. Key Responsibilities:
*Administer all aspects of internal and external examinations.
*Liaise with examination boards and ensure compliance with their regulations.
*Manage the examination entries, timetables, room setups, and invigilation schedules.
*Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of student data to support academic performance tracking and school improvement planning.
*Train and coordinate a team of invigilators.
*Maintain up-to-date records on student achievements and progress.
*Prepare reports and statistics for senior leadership and external bodies as required.
*Ensure confidentiality and security of data at all times.
Requirements:
*Proven experience in an exams officer role or similar administrative position within an educational setting.
*Strong understanding of the UK examinations systems and data protection regulations.
*Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Proficient in the use of school management information systems (MIS) and MS Office.
*Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including students, staff, and examination bodies.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during peak examination periods.
*A commitment to professional ethics and the safeguarding of students.
Qualifications:
*A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
*Relevant professional qualifications related to education administration or management are desirable.
A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for all successful applicants.
