About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Retail Supervisor to take responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation of our port‑based retail kiosks at Troon and Ardrossan.
In this hands‑on supervisory role, you will lead and support retail teams to deliver a first-class customer experience, ensuring high standards are maintained across food and beverage service, stock control, and operational compliance. You’ll work closely with the wider port teams and the shore‑based retail function to ensure consistency and professionalism across both locations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail or hospitality experience who enjoys leading people, balancing operational detail, and working in a fast‑paced customer‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day supervision and support of retail staff at Troon and Ardrossan
* Rota planning and completion of timesheets
* Supporting team development and carrying out team appraisals
* Attending retail meetings and collaborating with the wider business
* Managing stock control and ordering through Saffron, including:
* Creating and managing online orders
* Liaising with suppliers regarding quality or quantity issues
* Accepting deliveries and managing credits
* Daily wastage recording
* Monthly stock takes and variance checks
* Ensuring compliance with all health and safety, food safety and stock control policies
* Reporting and resolving equipment, till and IT/PED issues
* Working with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders
* Maintaining high standards of merchandising and product presentation
Reporting and Key Relationships
You will report directly to the Retail Lead and work closely with:
* Port Managers and Deputy Managers
* Shore‑based Retail, Operations and Finance teams
* External suppliers and logistics partners

Qualifications, skills and experience
Essential
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Previous experience in retail, hospitality or customer service
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
* Ability to work flexibly across multiple sites (driver’s licence required)
* Intermediate Food Safety Certificate
* Completion of an Allergen Awareness course
Desirable
* Experience in a marine, port‑based or travel retail environment
* Knowledge of waste management and cost control within food and beverage operations
