Job Description
The Contracts Manager will be:
3. Drafting, reviewing and managing B2B commercial contracts on the sales side
4. Leading contract negotiations with customers from independent retailers to large corporates
5. Asking the commercial and financial questions others overlook
6. Drafting product supply contracts including grocery supply agreements
7. Partnering proactively with sales, finance, legal and key stakeholders
8. Acting as a trusted commercial adviser to internal teams
9. Ensuring contracts are commercially sound and fit for purpose
10. Managing contract repositories and tracking key obligations
11. Providing clear commercial input and practical guidance across the business
The Successful Applicant
The Contracts Manager should be:
12. A solicitor or equivalent with 5+ years' experience drafting and managing commercial contracts (sales side)
13. Experienced working independently outside a core legal team
14. Comfortable and confident in face‑to‑face customer engagement
15. Experienced in a large corporate/blue‑chip environment
16. Commercially minded with the ability to balance risk and opportunity
17. Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
