Pharmacy Technician (Bank) - Chichester
Contract: Bank – Ad hoc – Up to £18 per hour
About us
Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30‑bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking. The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department. There is a small radiology department and CT/MRI services are provided in a mobile unit. In‑patient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester Gate for follow‑up physio and hydrotherapy treatments. Our main speciality is orthopaedics. We also care for patients in gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, cardiology, neurology and rheumatology.
Main duties
Working closely with the Pharmacy Manager, you will provide in‑house pharmacy services, procurement, distribution, stock‑taking and replenishment of pharmacy items to wards and departments, perform evaluation, final accuracy checks and dispensing. You will be part of a team delivering high‑quality pharmacy service with patient experience and safety at the heart of everything we do.
Qualifications and experience
* NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Service or equivalent is required.
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Society.
* Experience in a hospital or community pharmacy.
* Good IT skills, literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
