Responsibilities
* Supervise kitchen staff and maintain daily operations and equipment to ensure efficient food production.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
* Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Collaborate with the team to improve existing offerings.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a small team effectively.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
* A passion for locally sourced ingredients and creating dishes from scratch.
