Job Summary
This post is politically restricted in accordance with the Local Government and Housing Act 1989. The critical role of Subject Matter Expert will drive the development and delivery of the Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) Investment Zone, a major policy initiative that represents a once‑in‑a‑generation opportunity to accelerate economic growth, drive innovation and create inclusive prosperity across South East Wales.
Responsibilities
* Drive forwards the innovation agenda from delivering the Innovation Strategy and attracting further investment.
* Maintain and develop the conditions in which innovation‑led growth can prosper, creating high‑productivity, high‑value jobs and resilient local supply chains.
* Ensure priorities align with CCR’s Regional Economic and Industrial Plan, support growth and attract inward investment.
* Strategic Leadership, cluster engagement and market intelligence programme design and delivery.
* Business case development and inward investment & partnership development.
* Contract and procurement management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
* Leadership and team management.
* Work from various locations in accordance with the needs of the role.
* Accountable for strategic leadership and GP of the Investment Zone.
* Support the Delivery Team and Head of Investment Zone in achieving the Investment Zone objectives.
