As a housing assistant within the Rent Escalation Team, you will support housing officers managing rent arrears cases in court, ensuring tenants receive advice and support to repay arrears and maintain rent and service charge payments.
The team will also manage Universal Credit (UC), including housing cost verifications, addressing housing cost issues/missing payments, contacting tenants about new claims, Discretionary Housing Payment entitlement, and escalating complex UC queries to DWP management.
You will also be responsible for processing applications for the Tenant Hardship Fund and ensuring payments are made to rent accounts.
Additionally, the team handles former tenancy arrears by contacting former tenants and arranging repayment options.

Our salary range typically reflects the starting salary, with annual increases until it reaches the top of the range.
