TP ICAP has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build the next generation of the Fusion Platform, aiming to establish it as a global market infrastructure. This role involves working in a new team to develop a platform based on the latest technologies and architectures. You will collaborate with AWS and learn from industry experts. As a Senior Engineer, you will demonstrate excellent technical skills, a desire to improve, and mentor junior team members. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software, working closely with Principal Engineers, Architects, and Leads to ensure successful production deployment.
Role Responsibilities:
* Drive engineering improvements and communicate the principles behind your work to team members and the wider organization.
* Support the team’s engagement in a well-defined SDLC supporting planning, prioritization, and delivery.
* Lead discussions on estimation, leveraging experience, challenging requirements, and exploring solutions.
* Facilitate conversations around software systems to enable broader architectural discussions.
* Refactor and prioritize deliveries to evolve systems toward the target architecture.
Essential/Desired Criteria:
* 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Front/Backend Engineer with Typescript in a professional environment.
* Backend skills: proficiency in backend languages (Typescript, C#, Java), strong database knowledge (SQL, NoSQL), experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, Websockets, microservices architecture, version control (Git), Terraform, automated testing, and AWS services (Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, AppSync).
* Experience working within an Agile cross-functional delivery team.
* Experience deploying well-tested software into low-latency, event-driven production environments.
* Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle in a technical role.
* Knowledge of Pub/Sub messaging patterns (e.g., SOLACE/AMQP), containerization, maintaining code quality through testing, and AWS CLI/Cloud ecosystem.
* Proficiency with Linux shell or Windows PowerShell, CI/CD pipelines, and agile project management tools like JIRA.
* Openness to innovative ideas, continuous improvement, and high energy in achieving goals.
* Ability to work with Business Analysts/Product Owners to clarify ambiguity, handle challenges, and constructively challenge team members.
* Adaptable communication skills, ethical work practices, attention to detail, organization, and proactive approach.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge of software design patterns, and source control (Git).
* Demonstrable experience with C# (.NET 8+), contribution to open-source projects, and experience with regulatory projects.
* Knowledge of financial markets, systems, and OTC products.
