Role Details:
The HR Apprentice will support the HR Team in delivering a high quality HR Service. This role provides hands on experience in various HR functions including, onboarding, employee relations, overseas workers, and HR administration, while working towards a recognised HR qualification (e.g CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate / CIPD Level 5).
Key Responsibilities:
1. To support the induction process carrying out right to work checks.
2. Support the preparation of HR documentation such as letters, forms, and reports.
3. Undertake note taking activities at disciplinary, grievance and consultation meetings.
4. To attend and observe HR Related meetings such as disciplinary, grievance, redundancy consultation etc.
5. Manage and maintain employee records handling confidential documentation and files.
6. Update databases concerning employee relations, long term sickness and capability cases.
7. Assist in the management and analysis of HR related data.
8. To provide management information as required enabling managers to make business decisions.
9. To assist in the collation of documentation in response to employment tribunal cases.
10. To raise purchase orders in line with company processes for the HR team
11. To manage the HR email inbox, post, telephone calls and act as the first point of contact for the HR team.
12. To assist in the delivery of training / upskilling courses as required.
13. To undertake ad hoc project work.

16. Excellent organisational abilities
17. Proactive and eager to learn and get involved
18. Able to meet necessary deadlines and objectives
19. Good I.T skills and familiar with MS Office
20. Familiarity with HR related systems desired but not essential
21. A basic knowledge of employment legislation and HR policies and procedures is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
22. English and Mathematics – GCSE C Grade equivalent plus 2 further GCSE at Grade C and above.
23. A Level Qualification – Desirable but not essential
24. An interest in pursuing a career as part of an HR Team
25. Excellent ICT skills – Microsoft Office packages and Outlook
