Join to apply for the Network Optimisation Technician role at Severn Trent at our Hafren Dyfrdwy area in Wrexham.
Our Asset Management - HD Team is a group of experts dedicated to the assets and customers in our Hafren Dyfrdwy area. The Network Optimisation Technician will provide technical expertise on the water supply network, investigate asset performance, produce technical reports using hydraulic modelling, and work with the Network Optimisation Specialist and Support Technician to optimise the network and reduce leakage.
This role will assist in targeting trunk main leakage and developing in-house capabilities for upstream leakage targeting. You will need strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring To The Role
You will have an appreciation or direct experience of how the water network operates – ideally with a minimum of 12 months in a similar utility or engineering environment. You will have strong IT skills, including working with spreadsheets, presenting graphical data, and using systems to extract and analyse data (GISST, SAP and Netbase).

Qualifications
* GCSE passes (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Degree in a STEM subject (Desirable)
As travel is required, it is also expected you will hold a full UK driving licence.
