Overview We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead and coordinate the people function across our schools in the UK. This role will be responsible for centralising and overseeing payroll, recruitment, HR budgets, and the implementation of Group HR policies. The successful candidate will also coordinate and assess the talent review process, training and development programmes, employee engagement surveys, and labour relations, ensuring alignment with both local regulations and Group standards. Key Responsibilities • Payroll & HR Administration o Oversee and centralise payroll processes across schools, ensuring accuracy and compliance. o Maintain employee records and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. • Recruitment & Staffing o Lead recruitment processes for school and central roles, from advertising to onboarding. o Build strong pipelines of talent and support school leaders with staffing needs. • People Budgets o Prepare, manage, and monitor HR budgets across schools. o Work with Finance to ensure efficient cost management and resource allocation. • Talent & Performance Management o Lead the annual talent review process. o Develop training and professional development initiatives to support staff growth. o Support school leaders with performance management processes. • Employee Engagement & Culture o Implement and manage the annual employee survey. o Analyse results and support action plans to improve engagement and retention. • Labour Relations & Compliance o Manage employee relations, advising school leaders on best practice. o Ensure compliance with employment law and Group policies. o Act as the primary contact for legal and regulatory HR matters. Person Specification Minimum of 8 years’ experience in HR roles, ideally in education or a multi-site organisation. Proven experience in payroll, recruitment, and HR budgeting. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Demonstrated experience in talent management and staff development. Ability to work strategically while maintaining attention to detail. CIPD qualification (Level 7 desirable) or equivalent experience.
