About the Role
Location: Paignton, Devon—a stunning seaside hotspot with beautiful beaches, a lively pier, and incredible coastal views just minutes away.
Client personality: A sociable joker who loves forming connections and making the most of life.
Daily support: Assist with personal care, mobility needs, and companionship in his beautifully adapted home, empowering his independence while providing friendly and reliable support.
Driving: Preference will be given to carers who are confident drivers with a clean driver’s licence; you may be required to drive the client’s adapted vehicle to attend appointments and outings.
Rota & Pay
* Rota: 3 weeks live‑in, followed by 3 weeks off. Alternatively, you may join our standby rota and work conveniently from home.
* Pay rate: £140.47 per day.
* Travel allowance: Competitive travel allowance for each placement.
* Food allowance: Competitive food allowance per day.
* Additional training bonus: £150 for paid training included in your first paycheck.
* Joining bonus: £250 after successful completion of probation.
Live‑In Care Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
* Support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
* Observe and record the client’s health status, and ensure their safety and well‑being.
* Arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel when required.
* Maintain client confidentiality.
* Notify clients of changes in medications.
Training & Support
Paragon is a specialist provider of spinal cord injury and complex care. You will receive full training before you start, and where possible, time will be given to familiarise yourself with the care routine. No previous experience with spinal care is needed.
