We are generally over-subscribed and will have around 550 pupils in the school by September 2026. The school is currently judged good across all areas by Ofsted in April 2025. The inspection team noted that “Ixworth is a happy school, where pupils know they are safe and well cared for”. They also noted the pupils behave well, are polite and engaging, with calm and purposeful classrooms. There is a Specialist Resource Base on site for around 20 pupils, supporting pupils with Communication & Interaction needs, these students are fully integrated into the main school. Your role will be: to support students to learn effectively in the classroom following direction from the class teacher. may invigilate exams and tests. may assist escorting pupils on educational visits. may assist with break time supervision including facilitating games and activities. communicates with pupils to support learning and development and encourage acceptable behaviour. exchanges information with staff and parents/carers. work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff. support pupils to understand instructions. support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils. support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task.
