Days/Hours: Monday – Thursday (Flexible start and finish times: 7/8am – 4/5pm)
Friday (7/8am – 12/1pm)
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000+ (depending on experience)

Grinder Responsibilities:
Setting and operating Myford Cylindrical Grinders
Cylindrical grinding of small diameter journals to +/- microns in low volume production
Fitting and dressing of grinding wheels
Using MRP system for attendance and booking on and off works order cards
Ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times
Supporting team members with other tasks as and when required
Helping to create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published Health and Safety procedures
To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required
Grinder Skills:
Experience grinding to tight limits (+/- microns)
Ability to work to drawings, procedures / standards and specifications
Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment
Understanding of fits and tolerances
Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Experience manual grinding using Jones, Shipmen and Myford Grinders (Desirable)
Experience grinding small batch work (Aerospace components) (Desirable)
