Mulberry Street Medical Practice – Practice Manager

Responsibilities
* Collaborate with GP partners to ensure smooth, efficient and profitable operation of the practice.
* Lead and develop the administrative and nursing teams – recruitment, appraisal, training and statutory compliance.
* Oversee financial management: accounts, payroll, budgets, NHS pension scheme, income and expenditure reporting.
* Manage IT systems and ensure compliance with data protection legislation.
* Maintain premises, equipment, insurance and health & safety standards.
* Develop and run patient service systems, including enquiries, complaints, website updates and health education material.
* Prepare and present business plans, annual reports and performance objectives to partners.
* Act as focal point for communication with the primary care network, PCN staff, solicitor, accountant and other external bodies.
* Ensure confidentiality, equality, diversity and professional development standards are upheld throughout the organisation.
Qualifications
Essential:
* Strong financial control experience – accounts, budgets, payroll, income streams and reporting.
* Comprehensive HR knowledge – recruitment, staff development, discipline & grievance, workforce planning, performance management and employment legislation.
* Good knowledge of information governance.
Desirable:
* Previous management experience in a GP practice.
* Knowledge of SystmOne and experience with searches.
* Experience in implementing policies and procedures.
