Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Terminal Operative located in Sunderland. The Terminal Operative will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of liquid fertilizer terminals, including receiving and dispatching goods, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety compliance. Other tasks include coordinating with logistics, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting any discrepancies. Working with vessels to ensure they are discharged/loaded within acceptable time frames. Outdoor working in all weathers.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of liquid fertilizer terminals.
* Receive and dispatch goods; coordinate with logistics.
* Maintain equipment and ensure safety compliance.
* Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies.
* Coordinate with vessel operations to ensure timely discharge/load.
* Perform outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Qualifications
* Experience in terminal operations, logistics, production or working in a port beneficial.
* Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Flexibility to work various shifts and extended hours when needed.
* Prior experience in the fertilizer or chemicals industry is beneficial.
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or operations are beneficial.
