Job Title: High Level Technician (Rolling Stock)
Job Location: Southwest London
Hourly Pay Rate: £29.32 PAYE / £37.62 Umbrella
Shifts: Minimum of 50 hours a week, 4 on 4 off, days and nights
Duration: On-going contract

Client Summary: A world-renowned Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service, and maintenance company, the largest in the UK, employing over 70,000 worldwide.
Position Summary: Reporting to the Reliability Shift Manager, you will assist in corrective mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repair on the Class 345 Crossrail fleet. Responsibilities include ensuring maintenance complies with safety regulations and contributes to train reliability and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
* High level fault finding electrically and mechanically
* Provide train systems engineering advice
* Use FRACAS for failure analysis and corrective actions
* Monitor warranty issues and liaise with suppliers
* Attend to faulty trains, component replacements, and modifications
* Assist in root cause analysis and updating maintenance procedures
* Monitor train performance and reliability reports
* Download and analyze train data using onboard systems and diagnostics software
* Perform system software updates and obsolescence mitigation
* Support safety incidents and failure review boards
* Contribute to health and safety practices and report writing
Qualifications: Minimum NVQ Level 3 in electrical discipline
Experience: Rail experience desirable; fault finding, repairs, troubleshooting; use of diagnostic tools and manuals
Person Profile: Self-motivated, excellent communication, broad Mechanical and Electrical Engineering knowledge, capable of working independently, responsible for accurate paperwork, reliability monitoring, data analysis, and wiring tasks.
Additional Tasks: Electrical component replacement, wiring loom work, system testing, battery modifications, Wi-Fi systems, relay boxes, wiper motors.
