The successful applicant will support staff and provide a quality education and care service for young children and their families in the community. They will ensure the service maintains high standards of childcare practice and early education.
The post holder will support and promote inclusion and undertake specialist supervisory tasks as determined by management.
Applicants should currently hold at least the following qualifications: HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7, SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 7 (or an equivalent qualification recognized by SSSC). Experience working with children with additional support needs is desirable.

Note: On completion of additional years of service by 1 January each year, your salary will be adjusted to include a payment in lieu of the additional leave day accrued at the beginning of each leave year for the first 10 years of service.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children. If you have lived or worked outside the UK in the past 10 years, an overseas police check may be required.
This position requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration. You must currently hold registration or be eligible to apply from the start of employment. Registration must be completed within the first 6 months.
