We are seeking an enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual eager to use their existing skills to enhance the company's current customer service and drive sales, as our customers first point of contact.
Lanka Kade is a small family run business established in 1994 based in Market Harborough, south Leicestershire, on the borders of Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. Our modern headquarters incorporate a large office, showroom and 10,000 sq. ft warehouse. Passionate about ethical and sustainable trade, Lanka Kade specialises in the design, manufacture and wholesale of quality wooden toys suitable for children aged from birth to 8 years.
Responsibilities:
· Order management: Manage and process customer orders, and enquiries
· Customer communications: Make proactive sales calls to existing and prospective accounts, respond to inbound telephone enquiries
· Credit control: Monitor and maintain customer accounts, and process credit applications
· Customer service: includes aftersales
· Account maintenance: update and maintain accurate customer records

Preferred Experience (not essential as training can be provided)
· Customer service or sales background
· Fair trade, sustainability or ecommerce knowledge
· Account management experience
· Understanding of toys and early years development
· Sage Line 50 accounting software experience
· Knowledge of exporting goods
· Able to set and work to deadlines
Pay: £12.21 to 14.50 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. (9am to 5pm Monday to Friday)
Location: Office based – remote working not considered
Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays
