Healthcare Assistant - Acute Medicine

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to join the team in Acute Medicine at The Princess Royal Hospital.
The Acute Floor the Acute Medical unit (AMU), Acute Medical Assessment (AMA) and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) which is a seated area for patients who are referred requiring a medical assessment but may go home the same day. AMU/AMA and SDEC is a fast-paced environment, in which patients are assessed and treated for a variety of medical conditions before being sent home or on to a specialist ward.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE in Maths and English grade 9-4 ( A - C) or Functional Skills Level 1 or higher
* NVQ2/3 in Health related subject
Experience
* Can demonstrate an understanding, through personal statement and interview, of what is required within the role of a Health Care Assistant in the care setting
* Can describe the Trust Values and demonstrate how they put these in to practice within their caring role
* Previous hospital experience
Communication Skills
* Evidence of effective verbal/face to face/telephone/written communications and listening skills
* Evidence of the ability to work with others
