Role Purpose:
The Service Design and Transition Analyst ensures the seamless integration and transition of new or modified services into the operational environment, thereby maintaining service quality and continuity. Without this role, the organization would face disruptions and inefficiencies in service delivery, impacting overall performance and customer satisfaction.
The role will report to the Service Design and Transition manager. There is no requirement to manage subordinates however you will be responsible for various levels of stakeholder management across the organisation
* Volume of Service or Activities: Typically responsible for transitioning 10-20 services annually, depending on the complexity and scale of each service
* Transition Coordination: May handle multiple project transitions simultaneously, often coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
What we're looking for:
Key Skills
* Practical knowledge and experience of Service Design / Service Transition
* Process design, management, and documentation/authoring skills; with strong ability to chair, facilitate and lead meetings, workshops, and other such structured sessions.
* Gravitas to influence and matrix-manage a range of non-direct reports within the wider IS team.
* A strong background in Service management roles, with solid understanding of service management frameworks and processes
* High level of ITIL awareness, preferably supported by ITIL certifications.
* Understanding of Agile software development and Project Management practices.
* Innovative and positive team player with excellent communication and service skills, confident in communicating / presenting technical issues and managing the demands of non-IS staff and senior stakeholders.
* Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, with a proven track record of managing the change, release, and transition aspects of multiple simultaneous new / changed IT services.
* Creative yet practical and pragmatic when problem solving.
* High integrity with a "can do" attitude.
* Ability to work well both within a team and individually
