We're on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Bakery and Production Assistant. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the food production industry.
You'll be working closely with our experienced baker, helping with tasks such as packing and clearing, assisting with daily baking routines, learning a variety of baking techniques and processes. In addition to bakery work, you'll also support our production across other areas, including in our Chocolate production and Gelato room.
Based in our Chocolate HQ kitchen in the Holton Heath-area, you will be working with a passionate team in a fast-paced environment. As a food manufacturer you will be required to comply with food hygiene and safety rules. These include no wearing of jewellery or similar items that create a risk to food safety.
We are looking for someone who is hard-working, efficient and has preferably had some experience working in a production kitchen, diligent, and works well as part of a growing business.
Our core hours are Monday –Saturday, 6am-6pm, you will be working a total of 45 hours (including a paid half hour lunch break and a coffee break). During our busiest period we will change our shift patterns to include earlier or later starts and working Sundays with overtime available. This period will run from the middle of Nov to Christmas and the four weeks before Easter.
Full training will be provided, and there are lots of opportunities to enjoy samples of our handcrafted chocolates. We are within an easy read of Holton heath train station and have on site parking for those who drive in. Our HQ has a staff kitchen and break area with a coffee machine for free coffees, teas and hot chocolates.
