Salary: Up to £52,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Thursday (8.00am to 5.00pm) and Friday (8.00am to 1.00pm)
Holidays: 34 per annum including Bank Holidays
Pension: 3% employer, 5% employee
Overview
We now require an additional Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the team due to expansion. The company have sites across the UK and EU and manufacture components for some well-known names within industry. This role will require an understanding of how components are made out of metal – techniques such as machining, fabrication, anodising and metal manipulation. You will create manufacturing route cards (SOPs and methods) to ensure the best methods to manufacture whilst continually looking at improvements.
Key responsibilities
* Create manufacturing route cards (SOPs and methods) and ensure they reflect best practice.
* Review and improve manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality gains.
* Read manufacturing drawings and specifications to determine process details for each operation.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement process improvements.
* Maintain accurate documentation in Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Project.
Qualifications and experience
* Previous experience writing SOPs and methods of manufacture.
* Knowledge of machining and fabrication of metal components.
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Competence in Office, especially Excel, Word and Project.
* Experience working in a role where streamlining and improving processes are key.
